Oh Elaine... you know how I love when you get a chance to update your blog. But I was just heartbroken to read the last part of this post.

We all three have been struggling with a nasty cough for a week, and are miserable enough as is. I cannot imagine waking up to a child struggling to breathe. I am so sorry and I am grateful she is on the mend.

And that picture of your sister made my day :) Praying for her and so glad she'll get to relax and enjoy her family Thanksgiving!

Children with breathing problems is so scary. STunt man has a nebulizer and I am not afraid to use it when that cough starts. Scary stuff. Praying that Brooke does well and that goose is getting better.

With so much on your plate, it's so kind of you to keep us updated. I appreciate your updates because it lets me know how much harder I need to pray. Hope Goose is doing much better. Get some rest.

Did Goose have croup? That episode she had sounds so similar to what both of my boys used to have. They'd go to bed with a sniffle or a scratchy throat, only to wake up in the middle of the night coughing (really it sounded more like a seal barking), and struggling to breathe. It got to the point where I would set up the vaporizer in their bedrooms if they even sneezed. It seemed to help, as did elevating the head of their bed.

What a frightening thing! I'm so glad Goose is okay, and that the steroids are doing their job.

I love that pic of your sister...she is totally rockin' that hat! She's absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks so much for the update. I am so happy that Goose is getting better. Man, that is scary for sure.

Oh my goodness! How terrifying! I'm glad Goose is home and getting better but I can't imagine the fear that must have washed through you at that moment. I'm so sorry that you had to go through that.

Good to hear your sister gets to be home for Thanksgiving. I'm sure that will aid in her recovery since high spirits seem to help heal. Thanks for the update.

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that scary experience. I am glad you she is feeling better. It's hard to watch our kids be sick.

We are just finishing up the H1N1 flu here. There are four of us in the family and all four of us had different degrees of it. Though everyone is old enough to take their own meds and know what to do I felt bad as mom not being able to fuss over them.

Oh how scary for Goose, so glad that she is on the mend now! I got an ambulance ride myself last Thursday. Had a very anaphylactic reaction to something and then a nurse gave me an overdose of epi! Felt like I was having a heart attack!
So glad to see the new picture of Brook. Does my heart good to see that beautiful smile on her face. She's I fighter-I can see it in that smile. She'll be the winner in the end, I just know it!
