Thank goodness for Fairy Blogmothers, and a bit of fairy dust.

Whew, I was beginning to think, everything I touched was doomed. It has been a bit of a crazy thing, around my parts, at least where technical equipment is concerned.

I think the bit of fairy dust, that my Fairy Blogmother Julie from Wife.Mom.Nurse, spread did the trick. Here it is again, just in case you missed it. And if you missed her adorable guest post, click here, it was way too cute, thanks again Julie. I tell you she really is a life saver. I think I will tell you all a wonderful true story about her on Tuesday. It will warm your heart, I promise.

I think this stuff is magical. All of sudden, this afternoon the modem started working again, out of the blue. The signal is weak, and it comes in and out, but for now I am on. The tech comes out on Tuesday, so until then, I may be on and off.

I know some of you have been waiting to see my first ever maternity shoot. I have included some of my favorites of the day.

I can hardly believe we shot these on Tuesday, and my Sister had an eight pound baby, Friday morning. Mom and baby are doing great. Now, guess who gets to try her hand at newborn photos?

I already saw on Facebook that baby is no longer in belly! I'm so glad you were able to get those pics when you did! I love the expressions you caught on her face.. so deep and sweet. I didn't see the last ones on Facebook.. love those, too! And Julie's fairy dust WAS special (not everyone can get that bokeh!). So glad that it worked for you so that you could come back to Blogland... we've missed you!

Gorgeous. As I feel my little guy inside kick me in the hip, I'm more than a bit jealous of being so much closer to one's due date.

But she looks absolutely glowy. I'm sure you had a great subject to work with, but you did an excellent job, too. Those are beautiful.

Beautiful job Elaine. I couldn't believe it when you wrote that she had her baby. I thought she looked like she had another month to go yet. Congrats Auntie. And to the new family.

Oh my! I'm with Julie - I could totally tell you two are sisters! Such beautiful shots. And it is obvious that you two had that great comfort level that comes from the photog and subject knowing eachother well... such sweet expressions!

Cannot wait to see the newborn photos! And am dying to be your friend on FB so I can see more! :)

I am so jealous that you have a newborn available to you at any time to take photos. I just was not very good when my kiddos were small. Next preggo family member is going to get harassed to death by my sister and me. :) I wonder which SIL will get that great honor?

BTW, the photos you took are gorgeous!

Glad you are back up and running!

These pictures are SO wonderful!! I need to find someone in the area who can do some for me. But since I just moved here I may have to go to a studio (I prefer pics like this!)

Great job Elaine! What is going to be the name of your business? ; )
